Join the team building Tunisia’s next-generation mapping API
We’re a small, focused team crafting reliable, developer-friendly location infrastructure for Tunisia and North Africa.
No buzzwords. No vanity hiring. Just people who care about quality and long-term impact.
How we work
A small, senior and remote-friendly team
We value deep work, autonomy and ownership more than headcount.
- Remote-first
- Yes
- Team size
- Compact & experienced
Why we’re building TMaps
TMaps started with a simple observation: global mapping providers don’t really understand Tunisian cities, addresses or how local businesses operate. We saw teams losing time and money trying to work around incomplete or outdated data.
Instead of adding yet another layer on top of foreign tools, we chose to build a location platform that is designed around Tunisia first: better coverage, faster responses, and pricing that actually makes sense for local products.
Quality over quantity
We don’t try to do everything at once. We’d rather ship a small set of features that are robust, well-documented and battle-tested in production. That applies to our code, our APIs and the people we bring into the team.
Building for permanence, not for hype
We care about the long term: uptime, data accuracy and the trust of the teams who build on top of us. We’re not chasing vanity metrics or explosive growth at all costs.
If you like shipping useful tools, improving them step by step and owning your craft, you’ll probably feel at home here.
Open positions
We hire slowly and intentionally. When we open a role, it’s because there is real work to do and someone will be given the space to do it well.
What you might work on
We’re building a location platform that developers actually enjoy using. Depending on your role, you might:
- Improve our geocoding, routing or tiles APIs so they feel fast and predictable for developers.
- Design and refine internal tools that help us maintain and improve Tunisian map data.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand their needs and shape our public API surface.
- Work on observability, reliability and monitoring so that TMaps stays boringly stable in production.
- Help write documentation, examples and best practices that make integration smoother for new teams.
- Join customer conversations to understand real-world constraints and bring them back into our roadmap.
No open role that fits you perfectly, but you still feel aligned with what we’re building?
