📄 Terms of Use — TMaps API
Version 2025
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”) define the rules governing access to and use of the services provided by TMaps, a Tunisian mapping platform offering APIs for cartography, geocoding, routing, and related geospatial services (hereinafter the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, the User fully accepts these Terms without reservation.
2. Definitions

Platform: all services, APIs, SDKs, interfaces, tools, dashboards and features provided by TMaps.

User: any individual or organization accessing or consuming TMaps services.

Client: a User with an active account using the services in a professional context.

API Key: a unique secured identifier enabling access to the Platform.

Data: any geospatial, cartographic or technical information returned by TMaps APIs.
3. Access to the Service
Access to the Platform requires:

creating a User account,
-
obtaining an API key,
-
having a stable Internet connection.
TMaps grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the services within the limits of their plan and quotas.
TMaps may update, modify, suspend, or restrict certain features for technical, maintenance or security reasons.
4. Authorized Use
The User agrees to:

comply with all applicable laws,
-
not bypass security mechanisms,
-
respect quotas and rate limits,
-
not resell, redistribute or sublicense the services or data without prior written consent,
-
not use TMaps to scrape or reverse-engineer competitors’ datasets,
-
not generate abusive or harmful traffic.
Any fraudulent or abusive usage may result in immediate suspension of access.

Depending on the subscribed plan, TMaps services may include:

6. Usage Limitations
Users shall not:
-
overload or destabilize the servers,
-
generate automated scraping or mass extraction,
-
perform denial-of-service attempts,
-
attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer or extract proprietary datasets.
TMaps may automatically block suspicious or abusive traffic.
7. Intellectual Property
TMaps retains full ownership of:
-
maps and visual assets,
-
datasets and databases,
-
software, algorithms and API technologies,
-
trademarks and branding materials.
No ownership rights are transferred to the User.
8. Personal Data
Personal data is processed in accordance with the TMaps Privacy Policy.
TMaps complies with applicable Tunisian and international data protection laws.
9. Liability
TMaps provides the services “as is” and does not guarantee:
-
uninterrupted availability,
-
absolute accuracy of geocoding or routing results,
-
error-free data.
The User remains responsible for:
-
the integration and implementation of the API,
-
decisions taken based on TMaps data,
-
respecting rate limits and quotas.
TMaps shall not be held liable for indirect damages such as loss of data, revenue, business interruption, or reputational damage.
10. Pricing
Access to TMaps services is subject to the pricing plans available on the website.
TMaps may modify its prices with prior notice to affected Clients.
Overuse beyond included quotas may result in additional billing.
11. Suspension & Termination
TMaps may suspend or terminate access if:

the User violates these Terms,
-
fraudulent or abusive activity is detected,
-
requested by the Client.
The User may delete their account at any time through the dashboard.
12. Changes to the Terms
TMaps reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Tunisian law.Any dispute regarding their interpretation or execution falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Tunisian courts.
