Tunisia changes face every hundred kilometres. Those contrasts show up in road and address density, and therefore in map quality.
The North and the Tell
Bizerte, Béja, Jendouba, Le Kef: hilly terrain shaped by the Dorsale range and the Medjerda cereal plains. A dense road network between towns, and farm tracks often missing from global maps.
Greater Tunis and Cap Bon
Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, Manouba and Nabeul hold a large share of the population. New districts such as Ennasr, Lac 2 or Mourouj grow faster than maps get updated.
The Sahel and the Centre
Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia and Sfax on the coast, Kairouan, Kasserine and Sidi Bouzid inland. Industrial zones, olive groves and secondary roads that call for fine coverage.
